To advance the following special research topics, the Journal of Seismic Exploration is planning to launch these Special Issues. We invite international outstanding scholars to collaborate with us as Guest Editors for these projects.
Special Issue Titles:
-Seismic Interpretation of Complex Structures
-Coalbed Methane Seismic Exploration
-Seismic Characterization of Deepwater Reservoirs
-Seismic Characterization of Geothermal Reservoirs
-Fine Seismic Exploration for Coal
-Engineering Seismic Investigation: Site Characterization and Geotechnical Parameter Assessment
-Archaeological Geophysics: Application of Seismic Methods in Cultural Heritage Detection and Preservation
-Seismic Wave Modeling Algorithms and High-Performance Computing for Large-Scale Problems
-Rock Physics Modeling: Bridging Seismic Response and Reservoir Properties
-Lithofacies and Fluid Identification
-Microseismic Monitoring and Fracture Modeling
-New Software, Tools, and Algorithms in Seismology
*Applicants may make minor adjustments to the Special Issue titles.
Guest Editor Responsibilities:
-Define the scope of the Special Issue.
-Oversee the quality of submissions and make editorial decisions.
-Solicit and manage submissions, with assistance from the Editorial Office.
-Where possible, promote the Special Issue through professional networks and at conferences.

Guest Editor Requirements:
-Hold a doctoral degree.
-Have relevant expertise and a strong research background in the proposed topic.
-Have published at least 40 papers in the field, with a sustained publication record over the past five years.
-Have good academic reputation.

Please send your CV and your chosen Special Issue title to jse.office@accscience.sg by 9 October 2026. Once a Guest Editor team is confirmed for a specific Special Issue, the application for that topic will be closed.

All Special Issue submissions undergo the same rigorous and impartial peer-review process as regular submissions and are equally indexed as SCIE journal articles.
